There is a $30 fee if you do not show up or if you give us less than 2 business days’ notice to cancel your appointment. Call 604-322-6692 to cancel, confirm or reschedule and leave your name and the date of your appointment.
Arrival:
- Everywoman’s is a scent free environment. Do not wear perfume or cologne.
- Wear a mask.
- Only patients are allowed in the clinic.
- If you have a fever or flu-like symptoms, and/or lower respiratory illness (cough/shortness of breath), you must reschedule your appointment.
- Be on time. Late arrival may mean rescheduling.
- Bring photo ID.
- You can expect to be in the clinic 1-2 hours. Your appointment may be shorter but because we are a medical clinic sometimes we run behind and we really appreciate your patience.
Refer to the instructions below according to your appointment type(s):
IUD insertion:
- IUDs can be inserted at any time in your cycle. All your questions will be answered by a nurse or counsellor when you get here.
- One hour before your appointment, take 400 mg ibuprofen (Advil) or 2 tablets of regular, or 1 tablet extra strength acetaminophen (Tylenol).
- Bring sanitary 2 pads with you. Some spotting is normal after the insertion.
- If you have extended medical insurance, bring your card with you.
- With valid BC medical (MSP) insurance or coverage from another province other than Quebec, there is no charge for the insertion. Otherwise it costs $230.00 and this does not include the cost of the IUD
- We sell IUDs here. Copper: $75.00 for (up to) 5 years, $90.00 for (up to) 10 years, Mirena or Kyleena: $400.
IUD removal
- If you have unprotected sex in the 7 days before this appointment, the IUD may not prevent pregnancy.
- Without BC Medical coverage, or out of province coverage (except Quebec), the IUD removal cost is $125.00.
Nexplanon Implant
- We sell the implant for $325 or we can send you to a nearby pharmacy with a prescription if you have some type of extended medical insurance coverage. Please bring your card with you.
- Wear a short-sleeved top. All your questions will be answered by a nurse or counsellor when you get here.
- Without BC Medical coverage, or out of province coverage (except Quebec), the insertion cost is $230.00 and does not include the cost of the implant.
Check-ups, Ultrasounds, Pap, infection testing
- If this appointment includes multiple types of testing, come for your appointment as planned.
- Having a period will not affect sexually transmitted infection including HIV/syphilis testing, or vaginal ultrasounds for any check-ups appointments. You do not need a full bladder before getting an ultrasound.
- Pap testing (we cannot get an accurate sample) is affected by having bleeding. Call to reschedule your appointment, if this appointment is only for a pap test.
- Without BC Medical coverage, or out of province coverage (except Quebec), the cost for multiple services is $115.00 or $75.00 for one service.

Our clinic is at the corner of Commercial Drive and Broadway in east Vancouver. The door to our building, 2525 Commercial Drive, is between Subway and the Bank of Montreal. We are on the second floor Suite 210.
- If you are taking public transit, the nearest Skytrain station is the Commercial-Broadway station on the Expo and Millennium Lines. Buses that come to Broadway and Commercial include the #20, the #9, and the #99 B-Line. this is a link to the Translink Trip Planner.
- You will need the hangTag app to pay for underground parking lot that opens at 7:35 am.
- Enter from East 10th Avenue, just west of Commercial Drive, behind the Money Mart.
- From the underground parking lot, take the elevator on the left. The elevator on the right will take you to the wrong building.
